Clemson has not turned the ball over and they have finished drives, so they have played well and are up 30-0 to start the second half. The run blocking looks better and the play calling has changed to more plays running to the outside with a pulling guard in the mix. Deshaun Watson looked excellent and his deep ball was magical before he exited the game with a bruised shoulder. He will not be starting but is available if needed. Speaking of backups, Schuessler has looked excellent and he could start at some Power Five and many Group of Five Schools. Wayne Gallman looked good and Tavien has looked good in his appearances at running back. Deon Cain has finally shown off his deep ball abilities and Mike Williams has made some tough catches (and a couple of easy drops). The offensive line looks much better, but Syracuse has a terrible defense.
Clemson’s defense is dominating the Orange, and the crowd noise is affecting their play. Eric Dungey was playing well until he was hurt, but now Austin Wilson is playing terribly. Hopefully Watson’s shoulder will be okay and we get to see the young players in action.
