CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson’s football team got some good news earlier this week.

Defensive tackle Tre Williams, who had off-season surgery, reported on Twitter Tuesday that he has officially been cleared to practice.

Williams spent all of last season banged up. With Bryan Bresee out for the year, as well as Tyler Davis playing hurt as well, the defensive tackle played through pain to keep the Tigers’ rotation intact.

Despite being hurt, Williams played in 11 games in 2021 and even made one start. He tallied 243 snaps, while recording 13 tackles, including four tackles for loss. One of those tackles for loss was a sack. He also had seven quarterback pressures.
